My favorite Sarah Baker fragrance at the moment is the stunning Velvet Vendetta. It's bold, elegant, and completely captivating. But to keep things fair and avoid a little recency bias, I’ve got to give flowers to the one that held the crown before this new release: Atlante.
Atlante is that quietly confident scent that sneaks up on you. It’s smooth, aquatic, and effortlessly refined. The kind of fragrance that feels like you are standing at the edge of something vast and beautiful when you wear it: calm, powerful, and free.
I first smelt Atlante at Jovoy in London, and it was love at first sniff. One spray and I knew it had to come home with me. The thing about it is that it truly captures the scent of the ocean; seaweed, minerals, and that raw coastal breeze. There aren’t many fragrances that deliver this level of realism.
Atlante takes me straight back to the beaches in Lagos, Nigeria; that salty breeze, the seaweed, the mineral tang in the air, the sun hitting the water. Mixed with bright citruses, it’s the closest thing to home in a bottle.
In my opinion, the DNA of Atlante shines brightest in the spring and summer, but honestly, it’s versatile enough for the office or even a casual day out in a T-shirt and jeans. What I really appreciate about the fragrance though, is how noticeable it is without being too much. It stays soft, balanced, and keeps me in a relaxed, easygoing mood throughout the day.
