Sarah Baker Perfume Bottles

We believe that the devil lies in the details, and that's why we have given thought and careful consideration to every aspect of design within the Sarah Baker brand. Come with us to peek behind the curtain and discover some of our design secrets and hidden gems.

Sarah Baker Perfume Packaging

The first thing you will probably notice when you receive a Sarah Baker scent is Lady Justice on the box. She's blindfolded, reliant on her sense of smell. Sarah adapted this illustration herself from a statue in her local neighbourhood and it represents the powerful purpose that infuses Sarah's creative vision for the brand.

Unboxing your scent is a multisensory experience that we have designed to be memorable throughout. From the ASMR delight that is peeling away the tear-strip, to the compelling texture of the interior box and the satisfying weight of the metal cap. Inside, the perfume - or samples if you choose our Scented Portfolio - rests against an iridescent surface which reminds us that there is joy and light even in dark places. Every single detail has been thoughtfully considered.

You may notice the white paper label. The round shape is a reference to a camera lens, and the American Typewriter font used to name each fragrance is a reference to the typewritten scripts from the Golden-Age of Hollywood.

Unboxing Sarah Baker Perfume

In fact, each perfume is accompanied by a Hollywood-style script that we wrote. These are short vignettes, like film trailers, which help build the tone, temperature and vibe of the fragrance. Reassuringly printed on paper, these miniature artifacts encourage slow discovery. Spritz your new scent and settle down to read the world we have created for it.

Finally, to the perfume bottle itself. First, you'll be greeted by the sunset-orange bottle cap. The colour was designed to pay homage to the Golden Gate bridge of San Francisco, where Sarah was born. On the top of the cap the Sarah Baker sun logo is embossed, and even this has meaning. The sun logo is inspired by the 1980s motif of a theme park that Sarah visited as a child. It's designed to evoke wonder, excitement and youthful joy, and balances the gravitas of Lady Justice with a sense of fun.

We selected our cylindrical, 50ml bottles because they fit so beautifully into the palm of a hand. The curves nestling into your grip without digging in, facilitating the sensual, self-care ritual that is applying perfume.
