In Conversation with Eternal Scent Journey

I was recently invited by the Munich-based niche fragrance enthusiast Rahul, better known to his followers as Eternal Scent Journey, to join him in a Live conversation on Instagram.

We had a great time talking about our fragrances and the stories behind them, including our new Loudo extrait de parfum.

“ It’s dusky and creamy on my skin; one of the woodiest...Loudo is for oud connoisseurs who like their ouds woody, slightly dense; animalic…” - Rahul on Loudo.

It was great to hear Rahul’s own take on some of the house’s juices. And, one of the interesting things about the conversation with him was that he took me a little by surprise; asked me to talk about own composition Flame & Fortune at one point.

“ It lasts for a lifetime. So, frankly speaking, I wonder how long the extraits must last.” - Rahul on Flame & Fortune.

Now, dear readers, this may all sound like an average day in a niche perfume house to you, but the truth is that I am far more used to talking about the work of the other noses our house works with. It was quite scary, and, at the same time, rewarding because it reminded me that it is very challenging to translate what you’re trying to achieve with a fragrance into words.

Thank you so much for inviting me to join you, Rahul. It’s lovely to know that our juices are on the radar of scent fans in Germany.
